THE BIOTECHMED FORUM WILL BE HELD ON OCTOBER 9 AND 10 IN SOCHI
On October 9 and 10, 2023, Sochi will host the VIII annual BIOTECHMED Forum, one of the key events in the pharmaceutical and medical industry. Participants will discuss the current state of the industry and its potential to meet the health needs of today and in the future.
The event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Health of Russia, as well as the administration of the Krasnodar Territory. The business program will focus on the current situation in the development and production of advanced medicines and medical devices, as well as the potential to support and promote new technologies.
The topics of discussion and expert sessions will be:
• technological independence, including issues of providing the industry with raw materials, materials and components;
• modern threats in the field of biosecurity and practical solutions for the control of such challenges;
• developments related to the concept of "Therapy of the Future", taking into account the latest trends and achievements in cell and gene therapy;
• advantages and possibilities of forming a digital healthcare system in the interests of doctors and patients.
Also, forum participants will learn about new trends, startups and products in the field of medical rehabilitation, the fight against diseases of the central nervous system, the provision of oncological care and other areas.
An important reason for discussion will be the Pharma-2030 Strategy for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry until 2030, approved in June 2023, according to which the share of Russian drugs will increase to 70%. Among the tasks in accordance with which its implementation will be carried out are support for the organization of the production of medicines and their export, the training of scientific, technological and production personnel, the development of scientific potential and the introduction of innovative technologies.
The goals of the forum are the development of joint solutions by the professional and expert community to further improve the development of the industry, the definition of regulatory priorities, cooperation between healthcare and industry to introduce innovations into the practical sphere.
The event is expected to be attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev, as well as heads of pharmaceutical and medical companies, scientific and research centers, leading Russian universities.
The event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the administration of the Krasnodar Territory. Strategic partners of the forum are Rostec State Corporation and PSK Pharma.
BIOTECHMED is a key platform for discussing the development of the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology and healthcare. For eight years, the forum has been helping to maintain cooperation and establish new business ties between representatives of science and industry, the introduction of biotechnology and the development of the medical industry.
